...STRONG WINDS ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHWESTERN AND WESTERN CARBON
COUNTY THIS AFTERNOON...

Through sunset today or roughly 8PM...expect southwesterly winds
of 35 to 40 mph sustained with gusts of 50 to 55 mph across
portions of southwestern and western Carbon County. These strong
winds will create hazardous driving conditions on Highway 789
from Baggs to Wamsutter and Highway 230 from the Colorado state
line to Saratoga. Those traveling these highways, be prepared for
sudden strong wind gusts that could push your vehicle off the
highway. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination
this afternoon. Winds are forecast to ease towards sunset this
evening.
