.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will increase from the southwest this evening,
overspreading area Fire Districts late and diminishing by morning. A few
storms may become severe, particularly in deep east Texas and north
central Louisiana. Damaging winds and hail will be the primary convective
hazards, along with prolonged heavy rainfall which may lead to flash
flooding in already saturated areas. Minimum relative humidity values
will drop into the 40 percent range tomorrow, while mixing heights climb
to between 4500 and 6500 ft. Variable winds look to become southerly
overnight before returning to westerly and northwesterly by the end of
this forecast period.
