Synopsis for the Suwannee River to Okaloosa-Walton county Line
out to 60 nm
1015 AM EDT Tue Apr 9 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Fresh to strong southeast breezes prevail across the
waters this morning. A temporary diurnal decrease in wind is
expected this afternoon and early evening. Southeast to south
winds will then ramp up from late tonight through Wednesday night
in advance of a vigorous cold front. Southerlies are likely to
peak as gales on Wednesday night, or at least exhibit frequent
gale- force gusts. Following the cold frontal passage on Thursday,
a turn to strong westerlies is expected. Winds will start to
decrease on Thursday night, but it will take until about Saturday
for the churned-up Gulf waters to settle down.
