A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM...
  Tampa Bay waters...
  Waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 to 60 NM...

At 544 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent lightning. These
thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Terra
Ceia Bay to 13 nm southwest of Siesta Key, moving northwest at 20
knots. In addition...several boundaries are expected to merge over
Tampa Bay...with additional strong thunderstorms likely to develop.
These will be capable of producing blinding rains...strong gusty
winds...and frequent lightning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

This strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30
knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special marine
warning may eventually be required when these storms reach the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
these storms arrive.
