A strong cold front will push east across the Susquehanna Valley
and Eastern Pennsylvania this morning and combine with a potent
upper level disturbance to bring widespread clouds and periods of
rain, mainly this morning throughout the Central Ridge and Valley
Region of the state. The rain will taper to scattered showers for
the late morning and early afternoon hours.

Gusty West to Southwest winds between 30 and 40 mph will develop
today and will shift to a more west-northwest direction on
Saturday with peaks gusts increasing to around 45 mph.

High Temperatures today will range from the cool upper 40s across
the west to the low 60s across the far east.

Colder air moving in at the surface and aloft later today and
tonight will bring another round of showers that will mix with,
then change to snow over the higher terrain of Northern and
Western PA tonight into Saturday morning.

A few inches of snow will accumulate at elevations over 1800 feet
above sea level while a coating to one inch is possible
throughout the Northern Valleys.

Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 30s over the higher terrain
of the north and west, and in the upper 30s to mid 40s elsewhere.

Drier conditions will follow for Saturday afternoon through
Sunday with temperatures rebounding quickly on Sunday as winds
become Southerly in direction at 15 to 25 mph.
