...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WEST CENTRAL MADISON...CENTRAL
LIMESTONE AND NORTHEASTERN LAWRENCE COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM CDT...

At 347 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Rogersville, or 12 miles west of Athens, moving
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Western Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Redstone Arsenal, Marshall Space
Flight Center, University Of Alabama In Huntsville, Huntsville
International Airport, Tanner, Harvest, and Belle Mina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for north central
and northwestern Alabama.
