This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Areas of fog, some locally dense, with visibilities ranging from
one quarter mile to 2 miles will be possible across portions of
central, south central, and southeast Kansas through the morning
hours.

A strong cold front will usher in drier air and breezy north winds
today, resulting in brief period of very high fire danger across
portions of central and south central Kansas this afternoon.

A few thunderstorms cannot be ruled out over far southeast Kansas
this afternoon. Strong or severe storms are not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Thunderstorm chances return Saturday night through Sunday night
areawide. Strong to severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall
are possible during this time period.

Very strong southerly winds in excess of 50 mph may fuel very high
fire danger for areas west of the Flint Hills Sunday, but higher low
level moisture and precipitation may preclude elevated fire weather
concerns.

A brief transition to snow may be possible across central Kansas
late Sunday night into Monday morning. No accumulation expected at
this time.

Strong south winds will continue Sunday night into Monday morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
