This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

An exceptionally dry air mass along with a modest increase in
southeast winds will result in a heightened risk of wildfires this
afternoon and evening.

Southeast wind gusts up to 35 mph will develop this evening and
persist through the night, particularly over the mountains along the
Virginia border and adjacent locations to the northwest.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms for some locations late
tonight.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms for some locations Tuesday
morning and again on Sunday.

Southeast wind gusts up to 35 mph will persist over the mountains
along the Virginia border and adjacent locations to the northwest
Tuesday morning.

The threat for freezing temperatures returns for many valley
locations on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
