...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY...EASTERN POTTAWATTAMIE AND SHELBY
COUNTIES...

At 940 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 5 miles north of Earling to 7 miles northeast of
Walnut to 6 miles southwest of Grant, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Public weather stations measured several 60 to 70 mph wind
         gusts with this line of storms.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Irwin, Defiance, and Grant around 945 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Manteno Recreation Area, Prairie Rose State Park, Kirkman, Elk Horn
Creek Recreation Area, Jacksonville, and Westphalia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for southwestern
Iowa.

building.
