...AN AREA OF STRONG WIND GUSTS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN NASH AND
HALIFAX COUNTIES THROUGH NOON EDT...

At 1101 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of dissipating
rain and following strong wind gusts along a line extending from
near Lake Gaston to near Elm City. Movement was northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 or 45 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Roanoke Rapids, Nashville, Halifax, Scotland Neck,
Dortches, Littleton, Red Oak, Enfield, and Sharpsburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To report wind damage, contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office
in Raleigh.
