...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT BROWN...COLEMAN...NORTHERN
MCCULLOCH...EASTERN RUNNELS AND NORTHERN CONCHO COUNTIES THROUGH 1030
PM CDT...

At 952 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Santa Anna, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Brownwood, Coleman, Ballinger, Early, Winters, Santa Anna, Paint
Rock, Bangs, Blanket, Novice, Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Cross Cut,
Zephyr, Brookesmith, Hatchel, Waldrip, Lake Brownwood State Park,
Lake Brownwood, Winchell, and Stacy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Angelo.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for west central
Texas.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
west central Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 200 AM CDT for west central Texas.
