...NOAA WEATHER RADIO WXL-71 AT ABILENE IS OFF THE AIR...

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter WXL-71 at Abilene, Kansas is off
the air due to a communications failure. Technicians have been
notified but there is no estimated restore time.

The Abilene NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts on Channel 6, or a
frequency of 162.525 MHz, and services the following counties in
Kansas: Clay, Dickinson, Geary, Marion, McPherson, Morris, Ottawa,
Riley, and Saline.

Neighboring transmitters that service some of these counties include:

    KZZ-67 at Blue Rapids, broadcasting on Channel 2 or 162.425 MHz
    WXK-94 at Concordia, broadcasting on Channel 7 or 162.550 MHz
    WXK-92 at Ellsworth, broadcasting on Channel 1 or 162.400 MHz
    WXK-91 at Topeka, broadcasting on Channel 4 or 162.475 MHz
