...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN OSAGE...NORTHWESTERN
COFFEY AND LYON COUNTIES UNTIL 300 PM CDT...

At 220 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 13 miles west of Hamilton to 10 miles southwest
of Eureka. Movement was northeast at 55 mph.

Nickel size hail will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Emporia, Lebo, Americus, Waverly, Olpe, New Strawn, Melvern,
Hartford, Neosho Rapids, Reading, Allen, Admire, Olivet, Beto
Junction, John Redmond Reservoir and Melvern Lake.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 166.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 116 and 148.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
