AVERAGE JULY TEMPERATURES WERE SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN NORMAL AS THE
AREA WAS UNDER MANY HIGH PRESSURE RIDGES. WARM TEMPERATURES AND THE
ARRIVAL OF MONSOON MOISTURE PROVIDED FOR FREQUENT THUNDERSTORMS AND
SHOWERS WHICH BROUGHT SLIGHTLY GREATER THAN NORMAL PRECIPITATION.
THERE WERE 20 DAYS ON WHICH DENVER REACHED 90 DEGREES F OR HIGHER.
THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR THE 18TH AND 19TH WERE TIED, SET IN
1998 AND 2005 AT 99 AND 101 DEGREES F, RESPECTIVELY.
