THE MONTH OF APRIL AT THE FARGO HECTOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WAS
SLIGHTLY COLDER AND SLIGHTLY DRIER THAN NORMAL. ONE DAILY SNOW
RECORD WAS BROKEN DURING THE MONTH.

THE FIRST PART OF THE MONTH STARTED OFF WITH NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES BEFORE VALUES DIPPED JUST BEFORE MID MONTH. THE
TEMPERATURES THEN PUSHED UP TO WELL ABOVE NORMAL BEFORE ANOTHER COOL
PERIOD OCCURRED TO END THE MONTH. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE
MONTH WAS 43.1 DEGREES WHICH WAS 1.1 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.

PRECIPITATION WAS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL BUT SNOWFALL WAS ABOVE
NORMAL. A MONTHLY TOTAL OF 1.27 INCHES OF LIQUID PRECIPITATION FELL
THROUGHOUT THE MONTH WHICH IS 0.09 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. TOTAL
SNOWFALL WAS 6.1 INCHES WHICH DOUBLED THE  MONTHLY AVERAGE OF 3.0
INCHES.

ONE DAILY SNOWFALL RECORD WAS BROKEN DURING THE MONTH. ON APRIL 11,
5.8 INCHES OF SNOW WAS RECORDED BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 3.8
INCHES SET IN 1995.
