WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN APRIL 2019 WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL. IN
FACT, APRIL 2019 RANKED AS THE FOURTH WARMEST ON RECORD, BEHIND
APRIL 2017 (61.0 DEGREES), APRIL 1994 (60.1 DEGREES) AND APRIL 2010
(59.2 DEGREES). IT WAS THE WARMEST APRIL SINCE 2017.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS 81 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE DRIEST
APRIL SINCE 2016, WHEN 1.88 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL.

MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL. IT WAS THE LEAST SNOWY
APRIL SINCE 2013, WHEN NO SNOW FELL.

A RECORD WARM LOW TEMPERATURE WAS SET ON APRIL 8TH WHEN THE
TEMPERATURE ONLY FELL TO 60 DEGREES. THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 56
SET IN 2010.

A RECORD WARM LOW TEMPERATURE WAS SET ON APRIL 13TH WHEN THE
TEMPERATURE ONLY FELL TO 61 DEGREES. THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 58
SET IN 2018.

A RECORD WARM LOW TEMPERATURE WAS SET ON APRIL 19TH WHEN THE
TEMPERATURE ONLY FELL TO 64 DEGREES. THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 61
SET IN 2004.

A RECORD HIGH DAILY PRECIPITATION TOTAL WAS ALSO SET ON APRIL 19TH
WHEN THE TOTAL AMOUNTED TO 1.26 INCHES. THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF
1.20 INCHES SET IN 2013.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR THE DULLES VA AREA HAVE BEEN RECORDED AT WHAT IS
NOW WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT SINCE 1960. THE OFFICIAL
RECORD CONSISTS SOLELY OF DATA RECORDED AT THE AIRPORT. TEMPERATURE
