...Data for Little Rock for April 2019...

.Summary...
April 2019 in Little Rock was the warmest in two years. But, that
being said, temperatures ended the month very close to average. The
coldest period was during the first four days of the month, though
there were other notable cool periods throughout. Temperatures
missed the freezing mark by two degrees (April 1st-2nd), marking the
first April in two years without a freeze. The first 80-degree day
occurred on the 9th, which was actually almost a month later than
average.

Rainfall was frequent throughout the month, and was excessive at
times, with daily totals exceeding one inch on the 4th, 13th, 18th,
and 25th. For the first time since 1974, a daily rainfall total
exceeded five inches, and this was on the 18th. The frequent rains
made for the wettest April in 28 years.

For the first time in two years, no snow fell (which is actually
normal for April).

.Monthly Temperatures...
The average high, low and monthly temperatures were the warmest
since 2017, but were very close to or slightly below the 30-year
average.

There were three days with low temperatures at or below 40, which
was the fewest since 2017. There were six days with high
temperatures at or above 80 degrees, which was the fewest since
2017.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on 16 days, below average on
13 days, and average on one day.

No temperature records were tied or broken during the month.

.Monthly Rainfall...
It was the wettest April since 1991, and the 6th wettest April since
rainfall records started (1874).

On the 18th, the 5.44 inches of rain marked the highest daily
rainfall total at Little Rock during the month of April since 1974,
and the 5th highest on record for the month of April. This was also
the highest daily rainfall total over all since November 21, 2011
(6.06 inches), and the 15th all-time highest daily rainfall on
record. For the month, this was the 6th highest 24-hour rainfall.

No snow fell during the month, which was the first time in two
years (since 2017).
