APRIL BEGAN WITH MANY COOL DAYS WITH RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS. ALTHOUGH
THERE WERE A FEW WARMER DAYS MIXED IN, THE COOL ONES WERE MORE
FREQUENT. THIS BEGAN TO CHANGE TOWARD THE MIDDLE OF THE MONTH WHEN A
SHIFT TOWARD WARMER CONDITIONS OCCURRED. THE TEMPERATURE SOARED TO
76 DEGREES ON APRIL 13 SIGNALING THE START OF THE WARMER PERIOD. THE
TEMPERATURE TOPPED 70 DEGREES FOR 4 STRAIGHT DAYS FROM APRIL 19 THRU
22. THEN IT TURNED COOL AND WET AGAIN FOR THE END OF THE MONTH. RAIN
FELL ON 12 OF THE LAST 13 DAYS OF THE MONTH.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 49.0 DEGREES WHICH WAS 1.7
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE WARMEST APRIL WAS IN 2010 WHEN THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 52.0 DEGREES. THE COOLEST WAS IN 1929 WHEN IT WAS
39.0 DEGREES.

A TOTAL OF 5.00 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL WHICH WAS 1.14 INCHES
ABOVE NORMAL. OF THIS, 0.1 INCHES OF SNOW WAS RECORDED. THE HEAVIEST
RAIN CAME ON THE 26TH AND 27TH WHEN 1.59 INCHES FELL. THE WETTEST
APRIL WAS IN 1904 WHEN 8.55 INCHES WAS MEASURED. THE DRIEST WAS IN
1941 WHEN ONLY 0.39 INCHES WAS RECORDED.
