WEATHERWISE DURING JUNE OF 2019 IN SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY,
LOUISIANA, WE RECORDED NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH ABOVE NORMAL
RAINFALL.  THIS JUNE NOW RANKS AS THE EIGHTH WETTEST JUNE AS WELL AS
THE WETTEST JUNE SINCE THAT 2004.  THE JUNE OF 2004 TALLIED A ROBUST
12.42 INCHES OF RAINFALL.

THIS JUNE OF 2019 OBSERVED AN ACTIVE PATTERN WITH AT LEAST THREE
LATE SEASON COOL FRONT PASSAGES DURING THE FIRST THREE WEEKS OF THE
MONTH.  BY THE FINAL WEEK OF THIS JUNE, THE SEABREEZE BEGAN TO RAMP
UP WITH SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING THUNDERSTORMS.  SHREVEPORT
AND BOSSIER CITY OBSERVED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS
DURING THE 18TH, 19TH, 23RD, AND 26TH WITH TREE AND POWER LINE
DAMAGE NOTED.

THIS JUNE OBSERVED MOIST CONDITIONS, BUT FORTUNATELY, THE RAINS
PORTIONED EVENLY THROUGHOUT THE MONTH AND DID NOT RESULT IN ANY
FLOODING ISSUES.  NEVERTHELESS, WE OBSERVED VERY GREEN CONDITIONS AT
MONTH`S END, COURTESY OF THE LAST NINE OF TEN MONTHS SINCE LAST
SEPTEMBER OF 2018 TALLYING WETTER THAN NORMAL CONDITIONS.

SHREVEPORT ESTABLISHED TWO NEW DAILY RAINFALL RECORDS FOR THIS JUNE.
DURING JUNE 23RD, SHREVEPORT RECEIVED 2.06 INCHES OF RAIN AND BROKE
THE PREVIOUS DAILY RECORD 1.93 INCHES SET DURING 1900.  FOR JUNE
29TH, WE NOTCHED ANOTHER 1.03 INCHES OF RAIN AND BROKE THE PREVIOUS
DAILY RECORD SET BACK IN 1898 WITH 0.98 INCHES.
