...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM EDT...

For the following areas...
S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...
Waters from Cape Lookout  to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm...

At 949 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from New River Inlet to near
Ar355 to 12 nm southeast of Topsail Boxcars, moving northeast at 20
knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
New River Inlet, The Center Of Bogue Sound, Salter Path, Ar340,
Ar330, Ar342, Bogue Inlet, Ar355, Ar345 and Emerald Isle.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
