Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1112 AM EDT Sat Aug 17 2019

...All Rivers Will Remain Below Flood Stage Through The Period...

A nearly stationary frontal boundary draped across the forecast
area will weaken through this evening. A sharp moisture gradient
continues between relatively drier air across the Piedmont and
higher atmospheric moisture closer to the coast. As a result,
the best chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms will be
across the eastern Midlands and southeastern CSRA.

A weakness between two upper-level ridges of high pressure will
develop and persist across the region through much of the week ahead.
This will support isolated to scattered afternoon and early evening
showers and thunderstorms Sunday through Thursday.

Basin rainfall amounts will not be high enough to cause any
significant rises on area rivers through the period.
