...River Statement for the Cahaba River...

Elevated water levels continue along the Cahaba River due to heavy
weekend rainfall. However, levels are expected to
remain below established flood stages, and any overflow along the
river should be of a minor nature.

The Cahaba River Near Suttle.
 Latest stage:     30.8 feet at 7 PM Wednesday.
 Caution stage:    28.0 feet.
 Flood stage:      32.0 feet.
 Forecast:         Gradually falling.

* Impact...At 32.0 feet...Flooding of pasture lands occurs in the
  Suttle area. Livestock need to be moved to higher ground if the
  river rises to 33 feet or higher.


The Cahaba River At Marion Junction.
 Latest stage:     30.2 feet at 7 PM Wednesday.
 Caution stage:    15.0 feet.
 Flood stage:      36.0 feet.
 Forecast:         Gradually falling starting tonight.
