Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
259 PM EDT Fri Mar 22 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Southeasterly winds will continue to strengthen across area
waters this afternoon as a low pressure system approaches from the
west. Across the nearshore waters, small craft conditions will
begin to develop early this afternoon while gale force winds and
rising seas occur offshore. A pair of cold fronts will press
across the waters through Saturday. Behind these fronts, a surge
of northerly winds is anticipated as low pressure to the
northeast, near the Delmarva peninsula, intensifies. This will
lead to another period of small craft advisory conditions and
gales offshore Saturday night through early Monday.

Subsiding winds are expected Monday as high pressure situated to
the north becomes the dominant feature and winds turn onshore.
Elevated seas continue early next week as high pressure shifts
offshore into the Atlantic through Tuesday. The next frontal
system approaches from the west and eventually presses
southeastward through the waters on Thursday.
