Thunderstorm chances expand over eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas today in response to a mid level disturbance lifting
northeast through the region. Organized severe weather is not
anticipated, though an isolated potential of a strong to
marginally severe storm for strong winds exists. Also, a locally
heavy rain threat which could lead to localized flooding
conditions continues today. Storm chances decrease this evening.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Daily thunderstorm chances will continue through the weekend and
into early next week with an area of low pressure moving northeast
through the southern Plains. Locally heavy rainfall and localized
flooding concerns will remain the primary threat especially late
in the weekend into early next week. A limited severe weather
potential may also develop this weekend into early next week as
winds aloft strengthen.
