...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in
Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Thebes.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Missouri...
Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.

.Recent heavy rainfall will cause the Mississippi River upstream of
the Ohio confluence to rise above flood stage this week and remain
in flood until early next week.

For the Mississippi River...including Cape Girardeau and Thebes...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO MONDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Thebes.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, The town of Thebes begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 31.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 35.5 feet Saturday
    evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.

* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, The flood gate on Themis Street closes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 32.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 AM CDT Thursday was 32.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 36.5
    feet Saturday evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    late Monday evening.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
