Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College, PA
248 PM EDT Thu May 9 2024

.DISCUSSION...
A front just south of the Mason-Dixon Line will waggle northward
into PA today. An upper level disturbance riding over the
Commonwealth will lead to an expanding area of rain this
afternoon, and periods of light to moderate rain will fall
tonight into Friday with chilly daytime temperatures for
early May.

The total rainfall by Friday evening will be close to an inch
for many places, with spotty 1.5 to 2 inch amounts possible
across Southern PA where a thunderstorm or two is possible.
