.DISCUSSION...
A ridge of high pressure extending through the state this
morning will drift Northeast to the New England states this
afternoon. Clouds will gradually increase and thicken-up
through the day, with rain beginning over the Western
Mountains of the state late this afternoon or evening.

The rain will overspread the rest of the region tonight and
continue through Saturday morning. The rain will be mixed
with wet snow or sleet at times across the Northern Mountains
late today and early tonight, and likely end in this same
region as a brief 1-2 hour period of snow during the midday
hours Saturday. Any snow accumulation should be less than one
inch and occur mainly on colder, grassy areas.

Min RH is forecast between 25 to 35% this afternoon.
The northern tier of the state including the ANF should have
higher RH values.

The low humidity combined with a generally light Southeast
wind will decrease the risk of wildfire spread relative to
Thursday when northwest winds were moderately gusty.

Mostly sunny skies, breezy and cool conditions will follow
for Sunday.
