Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible in far north Georgia late this afternoon with chances increasing further late tonight. A few storms could be strong to severe this evening with a threat for damaging wind gusts and hail. A more substantial severe threat would be more likely after midnight tonight if an organized complex of storms enters north Georgia. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday... Periods of thunderstorm activity will continue in the region through Friday ahead of a cold front. The highest risk of severe weather is expected on Thursday shifting southward through early Friday morning. Damaging wind gusts, large hail, and a couple brief tornadoes are all possible at this time. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
