Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
305 PM CDT Wed Apr 17 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Shower and thunderstorm activity south of the Tennessee River
should move further south of the area, with dry weather expected
tonight into Thursday morning. Daytime heating and the approach of
a cold front will bring more shower and thunderstorm chances
Thursday afternoon and especially in the night. After a humid
overnight with maximum RH values near 100 percent and patchy fog,
Thursday minimum RH should be reduced to 45-50 percent with high
temperatures in the lower 80s. Generally Good to Good smoke
dispersion rates are expected.

Fog potential over the next few days: Fog formation is possible
in the late night, especially if cloud cover fades. Fog would be
more probable in sheltered valleys and locations near bodies of
water. Fog and reduced visibilities are also possible in and near
the heavier showers and stronger storms.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: Not forecast at this time.
