.DISCUSSION...

A cold front pushing into the area will bring a wind shift today.
Winds have already gone over to the northwest in far northeastern
North Dakota, and the boundary will slowly push southeastward
throughout the day, with much of the region seeing south winds
shifting north to northwestward. Speeds will generally be in the
10 to 15 mph range. Afternoon relative humidity values will be
similar to yesterday, ranging from 25 to 45 percent. Mixing
heights will rise into the 5000-8000 ft range by afternoon.

There will be a chance for some light rain across southeastern
North Dakota and west central Minnesota tonight into Tuesday.
Winds will be northerly through Tuesday then shift back to the
southwest and pick up again for Wednesday. Some breezy conditions
and relative humidity values near the 25 to 30 percent mark on
Wednesday could bring near critical fire weather conditions.
