...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NEWTON...WESTERN KEMPER...
NESHOBA AND WESTERN LAUDERDALE COUNTIES UNTIL 1030 AM CDT...

At 934 AM CDT, Meteorologists were tracking strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Pearl River to near Pineville.
Movement was northeast at 50 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Philadelphia, Pearl River and Burnside around 940 AM CDT.
  Newton around 955 AM CDT.
  Preston around 1000 AM CDT.
  Meehan around 1010 AM CDT.
  Suqualena around 1020 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Tucker, Chunky and
Hickory.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious
injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors
during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 200 PM CDT for east central
Mississippi.
