.An approaching cold front in Wyoming will cause southwest winds
to frequently gust above 25 mph late Thursday morning into the
early evening hours over portions of northwest Colorado. The
stronger winds will combine with above normal high temperatures
and low humidity to produce critical fire weather conditions in
Colorado zones 200 and 202.

On Friday the trough and weak cold front will move through the
area causing potentially critical fire weather conditions in
portions of northwest Colorado and northeast Utah and parts of
soutwest Colorado.

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red
Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 10 AM to 8 PM MDT Thursday. A Fire Weather Watch has
also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low
relative humidity is in effect from Friday morning through Friday
evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 200 Little
  Snake Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 202 White River
  Forecast Area.

* WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 TO 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible
  under these conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Friday morning through Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest
  Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 295
  Southwest Colorado Upper East Forecast Area. In Utah, Fire
  Weather Zone 487 Book Cliffs.

* WINDS...West to southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 TO
  35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible
  under these conditions.
