OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure of 29.7 inches near James Bay this
morning will move to Quebec this evening while a trialing cold
front pushes across Lake Michigan tonight. A second low pressure
of 29.7 inches will move from Manitoba this evening across the
southern part of the lake Friday evening steering another cold
front down the lake. High pressure of 30.3 inches will then build
over the Great Lakes for the weekend. Low pressure of 29.5 inches
will lift from the Central Plains Monday to Lake Superior Tuesday.

south and increasing to 10 to 20 kt...then becoming southwest 15
to 25 kt late this afternoon. Chance of rain showers this
afternoon. Waves 1 to 2 ft building to 2 to 4 ft.
.TONIGHT...Southwest winds 15 to 25 kt becoming northwest. Chance
of rain showers...mainly in the evening. Waves 2 to 4 ft building
to 4 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft.
.FRIDAY...North winds 10 to 20 kt. Chance of rain showers in the
afternoon. Waves 3 to 5 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...North winds 15 to 25 kt increasing to 30 kt.
Waves 3 to 6 ft occasionally to 8 ft building to 4 to 7 ft
occasionally to 9 ft.
.SATURDAY...North winds to 30 kt. Waves 5 to 8 ft occasionally to
10 ft.
.SATURDAY NIGHT...North winds 15 to 25 kt diminishing to 10 to
15 kt overnight. Waves 3 to 5 ft subsiding to 2 to 4 ft.
.SUNDAY...West winds 5 to 10 kt becoming southwest 10 to 15 kt.
Waves 1 to 2 ft.
.MONDAY...South winds 15 to 25 kt increasing to 30 kt. Waves 4 to
