Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
702 AM MDT Tue Aug 14 2018

.Discussion...

An increase in afternoon and evening thunderstorm activity,
especially the Eastern Mountains and Plains, remains in the
offing through the rest of the work week, as flow aloft
becomes more west to northwest. Increasing available moisture
will lead to the potential for locally heavy rainfall, and
possible flash flooding on area burn scars, along with
the potential for a few severe storms across the eastern
mountains and plains, especially on Wednesday. With more
convective activity, temperatures look to be at to slightly
cooler than seasonal averages through the period.

Smoke dispersion will be good or better across the area
today and tomorrow.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
