...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Alabama, including the following
  areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Mobile
  Central, Mobile Coastal and Mobile Inland and northwest Florida,
  including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland,
  Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa
  Rosa Inland.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms will continue to develop through at least early
    this afternoon. Additional rain totals of 1 to 3 inches are
    expected, however, isolated locations could receive up to
    additional 4 inches. Much of this rainfall will occur in a
    short period of time which will increase the threat for
    flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas, as
    well as over areas that have already seen heavy rainfall and
    flooding earlier this morning.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Alabama, including the following
  county, Mobile.

* WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 946 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Grand Bay, Bayou La Batre, Coden, Alabama Port, Dixon Corner,
    Kirewakra, Fowl River, Delchamps, South Orchard, Smithport,
    Bayleys Corner, Faustinas and Mon Louis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
