...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT THIS
MORNING THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...In Alabama, Mobile Coastal and Baldwin Coastal
  Counties. In Florida, Escambia Coastal, Santa Rosa Coastal and
  Okaloosa Coastal Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Alabama, including the following
  county, Baldwin.

* WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 352 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fairhope, Foley, Robertsdale, Point Clear, Loxley, Magnolia
    Springs, Bon Secour, Summerdale, Silverhill, Elberta, Marlow,
    Clay City, River Park, Turkey Branch, Rosinton, Miflin,
    Barnwell, Elsanor and Battles Wharf.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN BALDWIN AND
SOUTHWESTERN ESCAMBIA COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM CDT...

At 339 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Silverhill, or over Robertsdale, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Robertsdale, Loxley, Summerdale, and Silverhill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Alabama, including the following
  areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Mobile
  Central, Mobile Coastal and Mobile Inland and northwest Florida,
  including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland,
  Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa
  Rosa Inland.

* WHEN...Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms will quickly increase in coverage early this
    morning and persist through at least early this afternoon.
    Widespread rain totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected,
    however, isolated locations could receive as much as 6 to 8
    inches. Much of this rainfall will occur in a short period of
    time which will increase the threat for flooding, especially
    in urban and poor drainage areas.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
