These storms may produce small hail, and wind gusts up to 40 mph. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday Afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, some of which may be severe with mostly a hail and wind threat for the rural plains. * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southwestern Weld county, with the greatest threat in
eastern Greeley.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1041 PM MDT, the public reported heavy rain in Eastern
Greeley due to thunderstorms. This may cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Poor drainage areas in Eastern Greeley are the most likely
to experience minor flooding due to hail clogging storm
drains.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eastern Greeley, Evans and Garden City.

Request to limit driving gas and diesel- powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Ozone concentrations are expected to reach the Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups level on Tuesday.
