This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Thunderstorms: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
today, with the highest coverage expected over the eastern half of
the Peninsula. Some of these storms could be strong, capable of
gusty winds, small hail, frequent lightning, and locally heavy
rainfall.

Heat Index: Heat indices will approach 105 over SFL today, and could
reach 105-110 degrees briefly over portions of the east coast this
afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the
remainder of the workweek. Any storm will be capable of gusty winds,
frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Peak Heat Indices of 100 to 105 are possible through mid week.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
  county, Miami-Dade.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 303 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Miami, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Miami Springs, West Miami,
    Marlins Park, Downtown Miami, Miami International Airport,
    Coral Terrace, Virginia Gardens and Allapattah.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
