Isolated lightning storms will be possible along and offshore from the Treasure Coast and across Okeechobee County this afternoon, as the sea breeze pushes inland. The main threats with any storms will be gusty winds up to 50 mph, lightning strikes, locally heavy downpours, and small hail. .EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT... Near-record afternoon high temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 90s over the interior, with peak heat indices between 100 to 104, especially south of Orlando. If spending extended periods of time outdoors, it is recommended to take breaks in the shade or in an air-conditioned building and also remain well hydrated. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... A Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents will exist at all central Florida Atlantic beaches today. Be sure to swim near a lifeguard and never enter the ocean alone. .FIRE WEATHER IMPACT... Very sensitive fire weather conditions are forecast today, with min RH values falling to 25 to 35 percent over the interior west of I-95 and 40 to 50 percent for coastal locations. Light northerly winds will veer onshore at 10 to 15 mph this afternoon. Very dry fuels and excellent dispersion continue. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. A Limited Risk for excessive heat continues through the end of the work week, as temperatures climb into the 90s. Isolated afternoon storms will be possible near Lake Okeechobee Thursday. Then, isolated to scattered storms will be possible across all of east central Florida late week into the weekend. A Moderate Risk of life-threatening rip currents will exist at all central Florida Atlantic beaches through the end of the week, becoming High Risk this weekend. Sensitive fire weather conditions will continue across east central Florida, especially over the interior, through late week due to warm temperatures and critical minimum relative humidity values. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
