Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms expected mainly across North GA this afternoon and evening. Some storms could become strong to severe. Any severe storms that develop will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday... Monday, there is a chance that strong to severe thunderstorms could become more organized and numerous ahead of a cold front advancing through the forecast area. These storms will move east of the area Monday night with a drier forecast expected through the end of the week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to weather.gov/atlanta.
