Area rivers are experiencing flooding. Please see the
latest Flood Statements and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday. The most
likely location for severe thunderstorms will be south of I-80
where portions of the area are in an Enhanced Risk (level 3 out of
5).

Thunderstorms are possible again on Monday and Tuesday. The
threat for severe weather appears low at this time.

  Cedar River at Cedar Rapids affecting Cedar County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa
  Counties.

  Cedar River at Cedar Bluff affecting Johnson, Muscatine and Cedar
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cedar River at Palo Blairs Ferry Rd.

* WHEN...Until late Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Minor Flood Stage. The Chain Lakes area is
  affected by flood waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.7
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage early Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this evening to a crest of 13.0 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 17.1 feet, Buffalo and Walnut Creeks begin backing up
  impacting local roads. 42nd Street west and east of Olin are
  closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3
    feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 14.5 feet.
