...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
  expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Indiana.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
  especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected in the 400
  to 900 PM EDT timeframe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.

This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Strong wind gusts are expected today from the remnants of Helene with
damaging winds possible late this afternoon and evening. Peak wind
gusts late today into this evening will be at 50 to 60 mph with
locally higher gusts. This may result in power outages and downed
trees. High rainfall rates later today may result in localized
flooding over southern portions of central Indiana as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

The possibility for locally heavy rainfall will continue Saturday...
especially over south central Indiana.

Spotter activation is not anticipated...but wind and rainfall reports
today and tonight would be appreciated.
