This hazardous weather outlook is for central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Through Tonight.

Strong wind gusts are expected from the remnants of Helene with
damaging winds possible through this evening. Peak wind gusts will
be around 50-55 mph with locally higher gusts possible. This may
result in power outages and downed trees. High rainfall rates later
today may result in localized flooding over southern portions of
central Indiana as well.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated...but wind and rainfall reports
today and tonight would be appreciated.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and
  southeast Indiana.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
  especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected in the 400
  to 800 PM EDT timeframe.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
