This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Slow moving showers and thunderstorms will continue across central
and southeast Kansas into the early evening hours. Severe weather
is not expected but heavy rain may result in localized flooding.
More storms are possible across south central Kansas late tonight.
Severe weather is not expected with any of this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Periodic chances for storms are forecast to affect the region
Saturday night through Wednesday. The storms could become more
numerous especially for Sunday night and Tuesday night across the
region. Some of the storms could become strong or severe this
period. In addition, the showers and storms could create some
flooding problems for some locations that see repeated rounds of
rainfall.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN SEDGWICK AND
SOUTHEASTERN HARVEY COUNTIES THROUGH 945 PM CDT...

At 902 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sedgwick, moving south at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wichita, Newton, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Maize, Sedgwick,
Kechi, Northeast Wichita, and Jabara Airport.

This includes Interstate 135 between Mile Markers 10 and 30.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
