...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected again today across
the region, with the threat of severe thunderstorms increasing this
afternoon into early this evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the
primary threat, but a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out. In addition,
locally heavy rainfall may result in some additional flash flooding
due to already saturated soil conditions. Therefore, a Flood Watch
is in effect through 1 AM tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A Flood Watch is in effect through Friday evening.

Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms will persist through
this weekend with an isolated severe threat and locally heavy rain.
Although thunderstorm chances will continue into early next week, a
gradual decrease in activity is expected due to an upper-level ridge
expanding into the region from the west.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon into this evening.
