...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN LIVINGSTON AND SOUTH CENTRAL EAST BATON ROUGE
PARISHES...

At 407 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Denham Springs,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Public.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Walker, Livingston, Old Jefferson,
Shenandoah, Inniswold, and Village St. George.

This includes the following Interstates...
 Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 164 and 167.
 Interstate 12 between mile markers 3 and 29.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy
structure and stay away from windows.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
New Orleans.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana...

  Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting Pointe Coupee,
  East Baton Rouge and West Feliciana Parishes.

For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing...
Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY, JUNE 14...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.

* WHEN...Until Friday, June 14.

* IMPACTS...At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from Red
  River Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational camps
  and river bottom farm land will be under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 49.4 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 50.4
    feet Saturday, June 08. It will then fall below flood stage
    Saturday, June 15.
  - Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
