...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...Minnesota...

  Red River of the North at Fargo affecting Cass and Clay Counties.

  Red River of the North at East Grand Forks affecting Grand Forks
  and Polk Counties.

  Red River of the North at Oslo affecting Walsh, Grand Forks, Polk
  and Marshall Counties.

  Buffalo River near Dilworth affecting Clay County.

For the Red River...including Wahpeton, Hickson, Fargo, Halstad,
East Grand Forks, Oslo, Drayton, Pembina...Moderate flooding is
forecast.
For the Buffalo River...including Hawley, Dilworth...Minor flooding
is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don`t drown. Don`t travel through
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River of the North at Fargo.

* WHEN...Until Monday, June 03.

* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, 3rd Street underpass is closed (Moorhead).

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 22.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:15 AM CDT Monday was 22.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.2
    feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Sunday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Buffalo River near Dilworth.

* WHEN...From Tuesday morning to Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 14.9 feet, Bottom of steel bridge causes upstream
  road to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.3 feet.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 14.0 feet Wednesday evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North
Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across the area from
northwest to southeast this afternoon and potentially into the
evening. The main hazard will be lightning although pea sized
hail and gusty winds will also be possible. Severe weather is not
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.
The next chance for thunderstorms will be Thursday.
