This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of eastern North
Dakota, west central and northwest Minnesota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected, with the main hazard being
lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

40 to 50 mph wind gusts with additional showers and
thunderstorms are anticipated Wednesday, with 35 to 45 mph
wind gusts and isolated showers on Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in North
Dakota...Minnesota...

  Red River of the North at Wahpeton affecting Wilkin and Richland
  Counties.

For the Red River...including Wahpeton, Fargo...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message - Turn around, don`t drown. Don`t travel through
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO LATE FRIDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Red River of the North at Wahpeton.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Storm sewer valves are closed and interior
  pumping begins (Breckenridge).

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 11.1 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Monday was 11.1 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.8
    feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
    early Thursday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
