Areas of dense fog across western Wisconsin this morning. Widespread thunderstorms expected later today and tonight. A few storms could be severe across Minnesota (especially west), with a lower threat across western Wisconsin. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. Another system will bring a chance for thunderstorms on Tuesday. Strong to severe storms will locally heavy rainfall will be possible with this activity. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...
Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.
Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Lac qui Parle
and Yellow Medicine Counties.
.Recent and future rainfall continue to impact river levels on the
Minnesota River at Montevideo and Morton. Periods of rain will last
through Tuesday, allowing river levels to remain steady or increase
over the next few days.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
the river.

- At 1000 AM CDT Sunday, the stage was 14.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 1000 AM CDT Sunday was 14.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 14.1 feet Sunday,
June 09.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.7 feet on 04/11/1960.
