This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited hail risk.
  Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Significant lightning risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms could initiate this afternoon/evening.
Though, widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop
northwest of the area tonight along a cold front and will move
into the area through early Wednesday morning. Large hail up to
the size of quarters, damaging winds and frequent lightning will
be possible in the strongest storms. Widespread severe weather is
not expected at this time.

The stronger storms will also produce heavy rainfall which may
lead to localized flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

There is a 30 to 40 percent chance for thunderstorms this
upcoming weekend.
